In this opportunity, we are looking for an experienced junior DevOps engineer to work with one of our American clients and help them overview the practice of operations participating together in the entire service lifecycle, from design through the development process to production support. This includes the management of the automated processes for continuous integration. Someone who can resolve problems swiftly, a team player, English fluent, and self-driven. Responsibilities

  • The Junior Development Operations engineer will overview the practice of operations participating together in the entire service lifecycle, from design through the development process to production support. This includes the management of the automated processes for continuous integration, implementing unit test procedures, and fully automated
  • Test harness to manage and report on system health and status from development through production.   
  • Enable development and operations to build and deploy our applications from code to production and internal environments using our infrastructure
  • Contribute to improvements to our build and release scripts, tools, and processes
  • Execute best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing, and release management
  • Collaborate with peers on work estimation/planning and implementation of new versions/features of tools
  • Contribute to tool building for internal use to support software engineering best practices
  • Help define common infrastructure, automate, and streamline our dev-ops processes to help streamline our workflow and increase developer velocity.
  • Apply security and environment best practices and respond to client inquiries regarding our policies and procedures including RPF responses

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps engineering
  • 1+ years of experience working with the AWS platform
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as code). Terraform as a preference.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestrations with Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Helm package manager.
  • Experience in operating and supporting scalable microservice/distributed architectures
  • Understanding of security best practices
  • Solid CI/CD experience preferably with declarative pipelines using tools like CircleCI, GitLab or TravisCI
  • Experience with GitHub and understanding collaborative workflows
  • Strong background with Linux & Docker
  • Experience with automation/configuration management
  • Strong experience with MySQL
  • Coding experience with JavaScript (Vue/React), PHP, SQL
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • Good English and good communication skills
  • Highly conscientious and communicative
  • Mature and proactive
