Job Description

Remote - Mexico City, Argentina, Colombia or Chile

  • Would you like to be a part of the next generation of cybersecurity practices?

  • Do you have a passion for coding and tech?

  • Would you like to see the power of AI?

Hi, you finally found us!

Who are we?

At Blue Coding we specialize in hiring amazing developers and people from all over Latin America and other parts of the world, both through staff augmentation arrangements and direct placements. For nearly a decade, we’ve helped cutting-edge companies in the United States and Canada both large and small build great development teams and develop innovative products. Online shops, digital agencies, SaaS providers, and software consulting firms are just a few of our diverse clients. Our team of over 50 engineers is distributed in more than 10 countries globally. We are a fully remote company working with a wide array of technologies and have expertise in every stage of the software development process.

In this opportunity, you would be working with a market leader in a cyber security company based in Austin, TX. They are looking for passionate, dedicated folks who want to join them in the fight against cybercrime.

What are we looking for?

In this opportunity, we are looking for an experienced Full Stack JavaScript Engineer with a track record of problem solving and teamwork. If you’ve previously planned, developed, and delivered web applications, this would be a great way to expand your skill set and help expand a SaaS platform.

Our ideal candidate should be an organized, detail-oriented, self-starter who can take feature requirements and stories, and integrate them into our platform efficiently.

What's unique about this job?

Our client is based in Austin, TX. They were founded in 2018, and quickly became a market leader in cybersecurity. Educating the public on the risk of hackers and developing an accessible extension of the security team for their clients. Their main goal is to make security a top priority.

Our client identified a problem when it comes to corporate cybersecurity. It's very opaque, meaning that companies need to involve every employee of the organization in their cybersecurity strategy. When everyone in the organization knows why security is essential, hackers do not win. They utilize the power of AI to notify in real-time employees about leaks, breaches, and hacks so that way the security team can quickly take security measures and the risk is minimized.

Here are some of the exciting day-to-day challenges you will face in this role:

  • Turn requirements into a delivered, tested, feature in our application.

  • Assisting to help us grow our architecture and future processes.

  • Own their tickets.

          This includes:

  •  Ability to turn requirements into a plan and clarify any confusion with stakeholders, and solicit feedback from other engineers.

  • Turn this plan into code.

  • Thoroughly their product.

  • Submit code for code review.

  • Understanding of standard software development processes like sprint planning and code reviews.
  • Experience working in a complex tech environment with other talented engineers.
  • Linux and AWS experience.
  • Experience with the ELK stack: Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana is a plus.
